From SEA to SEO

My name is Mike Gil and I am a proud Bisaya. I was a seafarer for 10 years and was a second officer onboard Finnish vessels before I ventured into freelancing.

When the pandemic wreaked havoc on the world, I was onboard a ship trading two of the most greatly affected countries in Europe. While being away from my family, a cruel realization hit me – that at any time, we can lose everything.

While onboard, I started researching online about freelancing and enrolled in a paid course. Then, my new beginning started.

I have been an SEO practitioner for 4 years now and I’m proud of the progress that I’ve made. It’s still far but it’s already far. My knowledge and skills will only get better from here.

I am a loving husband and a proud father of three. I like singing, dancing, and playing video games. I am an introverted person which explains why I love freelancing and working remotely.

When I’m not doing any work, I spend quality time with the most important people in my life – my family.
